Default Pictures of timing belt at 87k miles

Thought I'd check out the timing belt while I had access to my dad's machine shed. We removed the engine cover and the front top timing belt cover. Took a few quick pics. We disconnected the coils and turned the engine over a few times to look at the entire belt. There was no difference along the entire belt. I thought it looked pretty good for its age! Back of belt looked great and the ribbed side looked well too.

Good stuff now my question would be what is the best time to switch the timing belt if you have a 2008 Mitsubshi Outlander XLS V6 AWD/4WD?

You've got the same combo I do...unless I hear otherwise, I won't check again until 95-100k.

I've had a belt break on my '93 eclipse with the 1.8L. For a week or two before...i heard a loud ticking noise in the engine bay. Fortunately, that car was a manual and i was going only 20mph. Our automatics will destroy our engines if the belt breaks.

Default Looks great

Can't imagine why you would change it before 90k miles as per the manual.
