I stopped using stealership fluids and oils, now everything is 100% Synthetic AMSOIL. If you are looking for AMSOIL PM I can get you 25 - 30% Off retail.

Thanks. I ended up using Castrol ATF Import Multi-vehicle fluid since I couldn't find Valvoline PSF. Castrol says it meets Diamond SP III specification.
I am not very mechanically inclined, so I only pulled the old oil from reservoir using oil extractor pump and just filled it with fresh oil. I am planning to repeat the same process again in a week time.

I am in Toronto, Canada. I tried looking for a AMSOIL retail location here but to no avail. Otherwise Amsoil would have been my first choice if it was available readily here.

Power steering fluid is probably not as important as trans fluid. I've used various fluids for brake, engine, PS, etc but have stuck with the proper and expensive Mitsi fluid for auto trans. Not sure what the diff is but the Mitsi fluid is the only one which works correctly and lasts.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but is the Prestone PS fluid OK to use? It was on sale at Advance Auto, though I don't see the Dexron II or III certification anywhere (bottle or online). Prestone also sells PSF for American cars, PSF with Stop Leak, PSF with Asian cars, and PSF for Hondas. Beside the one for Hondas, does it really matter?

This is for a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander with 65K miles.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It comes to your door within two business days.

by the way, the newer factory manual says disconnect the cam angle sensor. Without it plugged in, there should be no fuel being delivered when cranking. Unplugging the coils is more connectors and the fuel wash the cylinder walls is not as good.

The owners manual says you can use mitsu fluid or some kind of ATF, I forgot which one but it's pretty common. I think the outlander works the steering pretty hard as I am starting to hear more whining at 30k miles.
