Question about valve clearance inspection
Hi everybody
My '07 XLS has almost 30kmiles on the clock and it will be necessary to carry out a valve clearnane inspection and adjust as per scheduled maintenance table. Here comes the main question: are the gaskets under rocker cover reusable or I need to order new ones? Question quite important for me because I live in Poland and 6B31 engine is not offered yet on local market. Thus I need to order them in advance if needed.
Question for those who have already done this inspection: was it necessary to do any adjustement? Were the valve seats burned/used? Is it fairly simple operation or it takes a lot of time and effort to carry it out?

It takes a lot of time to do this inspection. I say is not worth it yet.
30,000 kms is way too less ANY inspection under the cylinder heads or the block.
Mitsubishi is just trying to make money off of you by this service. If you were to bring it to the dealer to do the inspection, they will charge you, bring your car to the shop, and not even do the inspection, because is just too new for that inspection. Dont let the service adviser convince you to do it. A lot of the service require on the service table is not necessary to do.
Save your money. There will be other service to do.
