I HATE non functional hood scoops. Or the dealers will tell you that they are functional, but pop the hood and it is just to help cool the engine because the intake is like Fort Knox and an air inlet never even comes close to the scoop opening. IMO that just creates drag.

yeah, i went to go check out a mach 1 mustang before i bought the outtie and was really turned off by the fact that it was a functional ram air but it practically traveled around the entire engine bay before going into the filter and then finally into the TB. personally i love the design but hate the current functionality. But i also know why they do this, who would really want a 2004 mustang mach 1 hydrolocked after the first rainy season it went through, i sure wouldnt.

good point about the water. Personally I like the throttle activated flaps...no air resistance for the feather-footed (although minimal at best), and it also keeps out the critters and bugs for normal highway driving and other instances of the sort. But slam the throttle and you have a small flood of fresh air.

I love seeing them on the V6 camaro and Mustangs. They think their plastic stick on scoop and a sticker gives them the Z28,SS,or GT package. Then they top it off with a 4" exhaust tip and chrome wheelwell mouldings. Tacky. My car may be slow as hell, but I know that and am not trying to pass it off as an EVO wagon.

I saw those high quality ABS roof scoops....what a dork ride that would be....lol
That evolander will smoke both our cars in reverse, so he can do whatever he likes to his car. I assume by "full EVO VIII drivetrain" they are including the engine because mine sure as hell doesn't look like that.
I couldn't venture a guess at the size of purse that took to get done.
