Default Replacement brakes for the 2nd Gen Outlander

Hi Guys, I have just received the new Outlander and dunt really like the spongy feel of the brakes.

Thinking of replacing the stock brakes. Are there any compatible brake-sets from Brembo?

Thanks!

I dont think the brakes are supposed to be spongy, I would get the dealer to bleed them for you, although some brembos with big rotors would look sick.

Yeah, looking for that sick look indeed. Big rotors and that infamous caliper probably in black to match my car's color or maybe red if I want it to really stand out.

This is defenetlly in my to do list for future mods that will not void your warranty. The way I see it you have to make your car stop fast before it can be fast.lol.

So the question remains... Brembo have compatible brake-kits for the Outlander? Or can we use the brake-kits meant for the EVOs?

The "evolander" had brembos in them, so I'm sure theres a set out there that works, its just a matter of finding out, may be you should give them a call and ask.
*EDIT* Now you do know you just can't bolt on a bigger caliper and rotor without changing the stock master cylinder right? so thats another thing you have make sure is available for our cars.

Spongy.... mine are touchy as hell. If you touch mine alittle too quick you get a good jerk.

I think the stock brakes are darn good as far as feel..something must be wrong

Sponginess would be from air in the line or a line that flexes under pressure

OK, will bleed the lines and maybe replace the brake hose to steel-braided just to have a better feel when braking.

Really if theyre bad enough you think you need to change the lines you definately have some problem either there is a problem with the vehicle or you havent driven enough vehicles or your doing something out of the ordinary. like towing max weight without trailer brakes?

Are you a left foot braker?

I ask this because I have 5 vehicles, and 2 motorcycles it has been difficult not to put myself through the windshield when I brake the outie.

If you just want to add bling please dont blame it on the brakes.
