Default reset oil interval but miles are wrong

I changed my oil early and there was 1 month and 3200 miles left.

After I clear it, the display simply adds 6 months and 7500 miles to it which makes the interval 7 month 10,700 miles.

I did change it to NAS 20, 21 etc and change it back, then become a 1 month 3200 left appear again and I did the "clear" again same thing.

does anyone know how to start the interval from 0 + 7500 miles again?

Thanks

disable the service reminder...then turn it back on to the schedule you want.

I go by how many miles instead of months...I just reset and ignore the months. I've done that since 30k miles.

I did turn it to OFF and back on didn't seem to change anything.
It even remembers I had 1 month 3200 left and if I clear that again then it addes 1 month and 3200 to the 6 months 7500

Can't you set your own Time and Distances for service in the MMCS? In the MMCS Maintenance menu (after pressing the Info button) I can set individual dates and odometer readings for each of Service, Fluids, Tyres & Engine oil checks. When one of them is coming up they show in both the instrument display and MMCS.

Yes I can set this in the MMCS, but what is in the MMCS seems to be a completely different system than the one in the info screen. The numbers do not interact with each other.

I kind of find the info screen useful but the MMCS is accurate to the single mile and also records the date things are reset.

I think you are correct. Mine was serviced last week and my wife was complaining the new time and distance were showing when you opened the door to get in or turned the ignition off.

I realised later that the workshop had set the Service interval to display in the ignition-off state rather than one of the trip meters but in the process of getting rid of it I inadvertantly reset the interval which in-effect added a few hundred km to the next service distance.

On my wife's 2007 XLS, I got tired of the service reminder on the instrument cluster not jiving with the maintenance log in the navigation system that I just set the interval to the 21,000 mile interval each oil change, and followed the navigation system's reminders as a last resort...I actually don't like to rely on the reminders; I'm a big fan of synthetic oil and would change it when it started showing dirt on the dip stick. Depending on driving conditions it would be as short as 6,000 miles (travel on dusty back roads/high heat conditions) and as long as 10,000 (mostly steady cruise-control highway driving in moderate temperatures).

I just turn the reminder off...keep an eye on the mileage..I use the trip "B" to keep track... I just tell the dealer to leave it like that after every oil change...I usually go 8- 10,000 KM no probs so far.I dont have the NAV system or MMCS fancy stuff..lol...2015 Outlander SE..2.4 AWC ..I can see how that would be a pain. The amount of reminders and computer "nannies" on cars these days is getting excessive IMHO...but thats technology I guess...older guys like me dont need all that stuff.

It's just a push and hold on the INFO button until the wrench icon flashes...then three quick pushes until the menu comes up...NAV GBR.///etc...I think...just keep toggling until you see OFF..then push and hold...done...I believe the procedure is in the manual as well.

It is a bit tricky to get the timing right on the button..but its in there....be sure to tell the dealer or service centre not to mess with it.
