Question Satellite radio dead zones-2014 outlander

I have a 2014 outlander sport and have issues with the satellite radio and the radio cutting in and out. My wife and I have had Sirius on other vehicles and have not had this issue (Chevy and a Hyundai). When my daughter drove it, she thought a call was coming in & then the radio would come back on. Is there a problem with the antenna? Is anyone else having this issue or is this typical on Mitsubishis?

I have a 2014 Outlander and the wife a 2013 Outlander Sport and neither experience the issues you are describing. In fact they seem to be a little better in known dead areas than other vehicles and systems we've had.

Unfortunately, I think you are headed to the dealership on this one since it is new.

My 2011 does the same thing, only in the city though. Out in the wide open country or driving through the mountains there's no interruptions. I have kinda gotten used to it.

My 2014 Outlndr radio (FM, AM, Sirius) just stops for 5 to 20 seconds and then just restarts. Happens rough roads, smooth roads, stops, starts...at all and any times. Dealer has replaced the radio unit, the antenna base, and the tuner. No better--maybe worse! Anyone have similar probs? Any solutions or recommendations?

Is this happening in the city? I run into this a lot in the city going over a bridge or if there's lots of overhead power lines. Not sure why, but it works without fail outside the city limits.
