Default Strange sound

Hey Everyone,

Happy owner 2007 XLS but I have some serious questions about my outi hopefully someone can help me. A few month ago I started to hear some strange sound coming out of the front of the car when I go over a speed bump or when I slow down for a pot hole has this happen to anyone? Also I continue to have problems with the radio volume keeps going up and down I had the dealer check and they told me that it needed to be reset I did not see anything in the manual about resetting the radio.

Best

When I go through dips, or speed bumps, it seems like the first one or two times I hear some sort of noise. It sounds like a noisy suspension, like a loud creak. But lets say I go through more dips or bumps in the same trip and the sound is no longer there. So Im confused on why it only happens the first 1 or 2 bumps, and after that its gone. Until the next time I get in the outtie that is.

Get the same creak noise while going over speed bump or hole.

Could be shock, the rod must get dry, but when you hit a bump it compresses more than usual and the rod/seal creek on the dry section, but some oil is left on the rod, so that the next time you hit a bump the oil prevents the creaking, until its dry again.

chenarm, I figured it was something like that. It doesnt worry me to much. It started like a month or two after I bought it.

I might ask the service department to lube the suspension a little the next time I'm in to see if that helps.

I get it too, especially when it's really cold.. my old car did it as well. I think it was in the strut towers..I lubed them and it helped..haven't tried it with the outtie
