I used one before on prev owned vehicles and certainly seen mileage drop a lil, and wind noise increase.

It's the one I am interested in buying for the Sport.

How much drop in mpg did you notice on fwy driving, and also how about noise.

It's expected (from my prev exp) to drop; just want to know how much less mpg and noise folks are experiencing. Thanks!

Edit: if not in use, I'll simply remove the basket and perhaps just leave the roof bars on (or remove both) if ill effect on the mpg. Looking to add the basket to carry e.g. tent, sleeping bags (pretty much bulky but light stuff) in a water proof duffle bag.
