Default Thule or Yakima?

I have seen a couple of e-mails about the Thule and Yakima crossbar choices for an '07 Outie. I have tried, but searches keep failing, and there may be more thread on this topic, so I am sorry if this message is redundant but...

For those who have explored this issue, or purchased one of these racks, which do you recommend, and what issues did you identify as important?

-Thanx

Well I bought the Thule 450Crossroad | LB50Load Bars . Had wanted the 450RRapid Crossroad | RB53Rapid Load Bars

1) they look good although the bars stick out an inch or two on each side.
2) Some additional wind noise after installing but not much.
3) locks not included
4) easy to install
5) Paid around $300 for them and the 857CARAVANbag.

Have only used them twice for beach trips but worked well.

Been using Thule rack since 1999 and never had problem with there rack.

On my 07 XLS I'm using the 450Crossroad | LB50Load Bars | 517 - Peloton Fork mount bike rack |871xtFairing (Medium)| 544Lock Cylinders

Ialso have the Crossroad 450, with LB50 Bars. I find the wind noise very acceptable and I don't have a fairing. I managed to put my Atlantis 1200 box and 2 Bikes (fork mounts) on it at the same time.

I did not consider Yakima because of the round bars, I found that there were more choices of accessories for the square bars.

I beg to differ, I bought my whole rack setup from ebay and craigslist and it works just as good as any. Its a Yakima btw. A little wind noise so I bought the fairing, noise is much lower. I have found that I get a few % better MPG without the rack, so it only goes on in the winter to carry my skis.
