Default THX DVD Calibration

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have tried to calibrate the MMCS Screen to best show movies. If you dont know what Im talking about, if you have certain DVDs (particularly Pixar movies) under the setup option you can pick THX and they have a nifty calibration program that helps you optimize your screen for movies (black/white contrast, color and brightness etc).

The only thing is that every time I try to access it on the MMCS, the disc fails to read and it goes to a blue screen that eventually takes me to the main menu if I try to start playing the disc again. Anyone have a disc with the THX program and can confirm it does the same? I have been using a Monsters Inc disc fyi.

EDIT: Movies play fine, even the Monsters Inc one... but its just the THX option that doesn't work correctly. This feature works fine in my home DVD player.

Thanks for any help

Looks like it was just the Monsters Inc disc. Used another disc with the THX calibration program and it worked

I was using a Dolby Labs disk but your idea of using a THX works fine too...
