Default Tie Rod Ends Play @ 120k KM.... Common?

Notice the front ends making noise when going over bumps for a while, but haven't had time to check it out. Lift the car up the hoist today and thought the noise was because of a sway bar link....Turns out driver's side tie rod end has major play it in already....I'm only at 120,000kms, 07 Outlander...I guess this is Mitsubishi Quality lol....Haven't seen a Honda or Toyota having tie rod ends play on a 5 year old car. Wondering if is just me that has this or is this common on these Outlanders.

Note: Didn't recall hitting any major potholes or curb or accident on vehicle.

Also anyone notice the weird design on our rear brakes...They made it that the slider boot doesn't really stay on or just has a gap, therefore water gets in and rust / seized....Tried to take it off today and strip the bolt because is seized pretty good....I think is a stupid design....lol, just my opinion.

Has anyone done the spark plugs on the 3.0 V6s...any tips getting to the back plugs....I know intake manifold is coming out for sure to be able to get in there....

we are at 85k+ miles on our 07 and haven't had this problem yet...though I'll keep an eye on it now.

I didn't notice anythign out of the ordinary when I did my brake pads last year. I did check the grease and no rust on the slider pins.

...maybe you have a Monday Outlander?

haha very possible...
good thing i work at a shop and do the work myself....or else i'll be paying an arm and leg for keeping this thing maintain...

although is not that expensive for the outter tie rod, dealer wanted 45.00 canadian for it...which is reasonable comparing honda tie rods are around 80 bucks. at least this will give me an excuse to finally do the car's first alignment, haha
