RE: TPMS....Winter tires
I'm pretty much in line with what Roach paid, 173.16 for the rims at Costco, and 722.44 for Toyo GO2+. And I think I got a cash back of $80 or $60from Toyo. Apparently Yokohama came out with a new design last year that is better than the Toyo.
BTW, this link might be helpfull in picking a brand of tire: http://www.apa.ca/template.asp?DocID=97

Obviously, all this TPMS stuff was designed since beginning to suck the money from the owners. From the engineering perspective, what could be easier than creating two sets of 5 sensors with identical IDs (i.e. each ID would be used by a pair of sensors). This would allow one to change winter/summer tires with wheels without having to reprogram ECU! The only period when you could have a problem in this case is while transporting the spare wheels twice a year

Can anyone tell me if I can use the original TPMS (OEM #4250-A225)of Mitsubishi in steel wheels on an Outlander (Do they fit on regular steel rims?) Some say that you can't fit the sensor on a regular steel rim. What's your opinion?
Thank you
Thank you

I replaced my OEM system and installed 3re Eye TPMS system (http://outlander.mforos.com/1350551/...maticos/?pag=2, post 23), at the moment, the warning ligth of the original system hasn't turn-on, reason why I believe that the new sensors are compatible with the OEM receiver on my Outie; reprogramming wasn't necessary to cancel the OEM TPMS
