Sorry....I didn't get it at "cost" Maybe I used the wrong word. Sorry. The hitch was $300, the wiring was $70 plus labor shop supplies etc. Total was just over $600.

I know theres some people that work for mits I was asking if they knew. 70 over the counter aint that bad. Cost should be around 50 then.

FYI Mitsubishi cannot void your warranty for installing aftermarket parts. At least in IL they cannot, its state law. Your state probably has a simalar law.
As far as isolating the tail lights from the trailer wiring, I understand the point he is trying to make but you can isolate them with simple SPDT relays and a wire ran to a 12V accy wire at the coulmn or fuse box. There still is no justfication in spending $600 for a $25 job. |

and to install the hitch take about an hour when u dont drop the exhaust and have 2 people but and be done with a 17mm socket, extension ,rachect,swival connector and a 3/4 open end wrench
