Trailer wiring harness
I've read the stickies about trailer wiring- very informative.
The question I have is my Mitsu harness kit describes a "gray 4 pole plug located taped to the left headlight.
The only problem so far is that I can only find a black 4 pole plug taped to a wire harness between the core support and the grille.
My question is, is this the plug I need? I can't seem to find any other. It does have the red (positive) wire in the #1 position. Other than that, it does not fit any description that I have read.
By the by, it's a week old 2011 Outlander-4cyl.

Question answered.
My arthritic body would not allow me to finish the installation of wiring harness and hitch, so I had a body shop owner friend finish. He had it done (hitch and harness) in 45 minutes. A lot faster than I would have, but he's done it before.
Lights work with the power plugged into the black 4 wire plug, not a gray that I could not find.
