Default UK Outlander 2.0 D-DI

Hi all I am new here. I am a little confused about the engine - is this a VW Engine? Mitsubishi Outlander 2007 Diesel SUV 2.0 DI-D AWD II CW_W,ZG,ZH 1968cc 103KW 140HP BSY This is a 2.0 D-DI engine but is it made by VW?? I need your advice. please

I just made a video and here it is:


I am trying to stop it from going to the scrap heap and any advice would be amazing.

Nice video though. No, I don't think Mitsu ever used VW engines, because, frankly speaking, if it would be a VW 2.0 then it would be already dead long time ago ;-) the VW 2.0 TDI is the worse ever made engine by germans But on the other hand.. maybe somebody made a modification and installed VW enginge into Outlander? Horrible idea... :-o

BTW, there are many possible reasons for a black smoke, one typical one (for an older car) is a broken hose after or before intercooler. Check all hoses!

Thanks for the reply! Ah, now that is interesting as I have seen VW over the engine components! Thanks for the comment on the video, I am an noob when it comes to youtube and was is just a bit of fun in my spare time! I will make another video soon and upload it

I am going to check all the hoses, thanks again

Default Vw engine

I have a 2007 outlander 2.0 di-d which has the same bsy engine as my daughter's Audi and other VW so the answer is yes!

just to clarify yes its and audi/vw VAG engine its a pd140 engine which is actually a very good match with the 4x4 system had mine from 90thousand 1st clutch change at 140 thousand and had an eco remapping to 170bhp runs as sweet as a nut also just to confirm it was the last of the diesel engines to be run without a dpf filter aswel
