Default Upgrade ZL Outlander to colour instrument cluster (Success)

(Success upgrade)

I created this post as there is not much information on if it possible to change your base model outlander instrument cluster to the one with coloured center display.

I have a 2018 outlander 2wd M/T Es, sadly cause we wanted a manual transmission we only can go base model and lost out on lots of options and features.

Sadly most 2wd and Es outlander we have this cluster.

New cluster from wrecker.

What worked for me is I entered my vin into Partsouq part category and look at multiple p/n that was possible for my model and found out of the listed P/n was the coloured cluster I found that mine was p/n 8100B895

I got mine out of a 2021 outlander Awd A/T with LWD.

You will need the info button from the wrecker too, the connector to plug into is located here.

It is plug and play no programming needed. The cluster will read your ecu and etacs and know that the vehicle is 2wd, M/T and I don't have LWD and disables PRNDL letters, LWD on screen and Tarmac message is disables etc. Only thing needed is sent cluster to Albury Speedo to have the odometer correctly changed to the right km as it had the km from the 2021 outlander other then that 100% and most functions work.
