Default Upgrading to L.E.D headlights

I have a 2019 Outlander and I want to upgrade the headlights to L.E.D. I tried to put a set in about 2 months ago but I couldn't get them to fit. Any help or information would be great. Thanks you

Yup same problem here. Bought Hikari brand from amazon and won’t fit. Need some special bulb base adapter. I ordered it today so I’ll let you know if it works.

Default Finally works.

I bought a Marsauto brand H7 led lights on Amazon. They come with adapters and you’ll have to shave down the plastic tabs in order to fit. But I found that when you take off the silver ring from the bulbs and put them in the headlight socket and seat them first, they feel pretty secure. So I inserted the bulbs and seated them and felt they were secure enough that I didn’t need the plastic adapters. I put the plastic adapters in as insurance anyways but I don’t think you need them to install led lights. If you can remove the silver rings from the bulb and properly secure them (insert and twist to lock) then you probably won’t need the plastic adapter. It took 3 returns to Amazon but finally works. Probably can work with any other brand but Marsauto included adapters and white gloves so I was sold.

Lights look pretty good and im coming from a 3 series bixenon. Real test is when I drive it at night but so far in the garage it looks nice. Hell of a time shaving tabs with dremel and installing but worth the look.

Sorry this is VERY long after your post....Did you ever find any LED lights that fit without having to shave down the tabs?
Thanks!

I bought a
smart led bulb smart led bulb
on Amazon, and my friend connected them to my wife and me in the car. I like the fact that I can even change the color at will. Of course, I won't do it on the way because it's fraught with stopping at a police post. However, when hiking or barbecuing at home under a canopy, I turn on the purple or green glow of the headlights. These bulbs create a pleasant magical holiday atmosphere, and my kids like it. Try to see the exact dimensions of the lamp that will fit the dimensions of your headlight, and only then order them.

I wish people wouldn't do this kind of stuff. the headlamp assemblies are made for specific type of bulbs. Some bulbs require specific projector styles. That is why they put the tabs on the sockets in the first place. Don't be the jerk that is blinding oncoming traffic.

Default Hope this solves your problem.

Hi.

I'm currently using a set of LED headlight bulb that I got from Amazon. They are H7 Kayzt bulbs. Nice and bright and direct replacement. There are others as well.
