I keep hearing by the end of summer 2009. I have called Mitsubishi and my dealer and they both say the same thing. I will give Mitsubishi credit that when you order the update they send you a "1-time" use dongle that you plug in to that jack everyone sees on the bottom of the mmcs unit when it is open....Credit only for keeping piracy away....Not sure why they would do that hehe ... I have heard of a workaround but that requires pulling the drive and copying files ... I wonder if there is an infinite dongle key out there that can be used for updates ... I have 2 Outlanders with the MMCS and not like I want to pay for 2 updates ... Anyone have any insight to this?

I wonder who is making the update? I sent an email to NAVTEQ and they said they no longer make Mitsu discs....

I hope the update inlcudes more POIs, so far I've had bad luck with the stores I want to go to not being in the navigation system. Radioshack and Ace Hardware for example. My wife's 5yr Honda navigation has both of these. It's ridiculous that a hard drive navigation system has less POIs then a DVD system. Though I guess if the update is done by a DVD disc, that itself is a limitation unless they could use multiple discs.
