Does anyone actually KNOW that POI's have not been updated? Or is this just general grumbling? I've tried all three types in my other car (Garmin, Magellan, TT), and I've yet to find one that has decent POI's...I do like the functionality of the navi in the Mistu.

Since I'm a good customer, they was gonna charge me 50 $ but since they said to demo it for them, my dealer gave it to me for free I was shocked, just got it today but didn't download it yet.

Well, is anyone going to fill us in on what the update actually does?

We complained for so long about not having it, I thought people would be flocking to talk about it. I still want to know if it's worth $150 or not.

If I was outside of Alaska, I'd be able to tell you more about the update.

I'm just glad to finally have maps up here. I can't tell you if anything else is different.

Is there anyway we could get an image copy of the update disc? Anybody willing to share?

an .iso copy would be worthless without the upload "key" that plugs into your head unit.

It would still be fun to try and take the HDD out and dump any updated data from the ISO onto it.

I think somebody already ripped the EU map updates and made a DVD update disc out of it, without the use of the "key". So it's just a matter of somebody donating a used US map DVD for testing.

When you say that new POIs were added, were there new POI categories added, or were there just updates to the existing POI categories? I think the biggest weakness of the existing nav system (compared to the one in my husband's Prius) is the lack of huge swathes of categories (like most kinds of retail stores.) Added categories would certainly be a big plus.
