Warranty for Outlander 2014
Hi all,
I purchased Outlander 2014. At the day of a purchase, agent offered what it's called preferred wrap warranty (10 year, 100K miles). He said it covered everything, engine, electronics, rust, even change of timing belt. So I purchased it for 1.5K (1200+300). Deductible is $50.
After 6 weeks of purchase, I received a brochure that says that engine parts, worn out parts (including timing belt), rust are not covered. Electronics I believed, is covered. Now, this model already has manufacturer's 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and 10 years power train. Is there any practical use of additionally purchased warranty?

Doesn't sound like that is practical at all. Googling "preferred wrap warranty", sounds like your sales guy was an ex Dodge/Chrysler salesman. Your Mitsu warranty already covers all mechanical 10yr/100k mile...no need for additional. I'd go back and get your money back. If they refuse, I'd either call Mitsu corporate customer service, or hang a sign on my vehicle stating what they did...and slowly drive up and down their street all day Saturday.
