Default water spots on seats?

I have never spilled anything on my black cloth Outlander seats, yet there are a couple of lighter, circular spots in a couple of places. I'm guessing maybe these are water spots? What do you guys use to clean upholstery? I'm afraid to try any cleaners because I don't want discolorization. My brother suggested maybe a wet/dry vac, but I'd have to buy or borrow one.

Thanks for any help!

I've read other posts on this forum where people have used a mixture of woolite and water to clean upholstery. I believe it was 10 parts water to 1 part woolite. So far my 08 is new enough that I haven't had to clean the upholstery, but I do vacuum the seats and floor mats/carpets once a week.
