what is this button for?

what is the "A off" button used for? in a Mitsubishi outlander 2016

as shown in the attached image

That looks like an auto start/stop switch. It allows the engine to shut off while stopped at lights and stop signs.

Can confirm that it disables/enables the auto-start-stop feature.
