OK, so I changed my engine oil, oil filter, and air filter today. Not exactly exciting, but I noticed the air filter part number had a suffix added that wasn't on the last one I changed, so I looked a little closer. The old air filter (bought at the Mitsubishi dealer) was made in Japan by Denso and has a part number of MR968274. The new air filter (purchased from the same Mitsubishi dealership) is marked as an Ultra-Power WA10058, is made in China, and came in plastic wrap marked with Mitsubishi part #MR968274-RPL. I searched this air filter and it came up on Rock Auto for a whopping $3.42. Dealer price was $25.00 for the new version and $29.95 for the old one. It's hard for me to have confidence in a ~$3 filter even if the dealer was nice enough to charge me $25 for it. Here is the Rock Auto link: https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/ul...ir+filter,6192

Dimensionally they appear to be the same but I'm leary of the quality:

Sock Puppet, did the samething on my Out 2019 2.4. Easiest oil and filter change that I ever done . Since the dealership is at a hour and 1/2 I decided to go with the good olf Fram PH7317 for the oil filter and the CA10910 for the air filter. Made in china but look similar to the denso I removed.
The air filter is a bit tricky, after playing with it I was still not sure that the tabs were all in so i decided to remove everything , that took an extra 10mn , its so easy to install the filter that way that the next time I wont even try to cut corners, everything will come out again :-)
One thing that I am not sure about maybe someone here can help.... It looks to me that the whole air box is kind of loose , tell me if you pull up at the back of the air box can you feel some play there ? I noticed that the box have two rubber bushing that are receiving a dowell mounted on a bracket under the airbox ,,, its not going to cause any problem however I am just curious to know if your air box is rock solid or kind of loose on his mount

Wow that's terrible. Wouldn't be surprised if the dealer repackaged it themselves lol.

I recently installed a gun magnet to mount my glock9 and I placed it under the seat. I'm pretty happy with it and I am planning to buy another one to add on to the center console. I got it https://motoringcrunch.com/reviews/car-gun-magnet/. I wonder how others are carrying their firearms inside their vehicles.
