I think it depends upon the color of the Outlander. In gray the chrome contrast looks nice. On a white Outlander, which I have, I think the black contrast looks better. As far as other colors go, I guess I would have to see photoshopped pictures to decide.

Im not a big fan of chrome. However, for the Gray Outlander, if the pillar color matches the silver for the door handle, roof rail, it would look nice.

My Outlander is Red. It looks nice with pillar. Well, at night, there is no difference with or without the pillar, because the outlander look really nice when cover the pillar in black or the chrome pillars!
