Default What Tires Do You Run On Your Outlander

What tire brand, size and model do you guys run on your Outlanders? How have they performed/lasted? Would you buy the same tires again?

For a midprice tire, I went with General Altimax RT43s in the stock 18-in. size. With 35,000 miles on them, they're fairly but evenly worn, and I'm thinking I'll still get another winter out of them. The embedded "time to replace" indicator isn't showing yet. I don't think they'll be great this winter given their age, but they were pretty decent the first two winters. Can't say they're particularly quiet, but not noisy either. Really hard to tell in a 2007 Outlander, as the road noise on this model is significant no matter what you run. Tires were just under $600 installed out the door.

I would buy them again unless a better and similar priced recommendation came along.

I had previously run Hankook Optimos, and I did not like their grip or wear. Would not recommend on the Outlander.

These are my 4 Michelin Defender 225/55R18 98T BSW never buying Michelin again.

Next set of tires will be Bridgestone

Default Lol Michelin Customer Support

These Defenders came with a 90,000 mile warranty I barely got 25,000 miles on them before they dry rotted and separated Called Michelin Customer Support told them about the defective tires they said take it to a tire shop they would give me $10 dollar credit toward new Michelins at full retail store prices. Lol what a joke. Please learn from my lesson Michelin is garbage.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the Defenders. My experience with Michelin has been different. I have a set of Primacy XCVs that are six years old and have a little over 50,000 miles with plenty of life left. I am running a newer set of X-ice i3 winter tires now too, and their performance is really good - we'll see about life.

Hope the Bridgestones treat you better.

I'm running Falken Ziex ZE950 A/S on mine, they feel and grip great, even in snow but the snow tires will be called to action soon.

Before had Goodyear Eagle LS and hated the way it drove.

I think the Defender is just a over-hyped tire that just doesn't do what was promised,I put them on my Cobalt with the same results. They were advertised as being easy rolling long lasting milage tires but fail to live up to the hype. Not cheap either

Default Michelin is garbage.

Michelin used to be good 10 years ago now they are living off Hype and Commercials, never buying a Michelin tire or Michelin branded anything again.
