Default What's that noise?

Hey folks. I have a 2012 Outlander. I've been getting a really loud squeaking noise when I turn; only when the car is in motion. When idle and I turn the wheel no noise. What could it be? Thanks for the info.

Probing questions, not necessarily in order of importance:

Have you owned the vehicle since new?

How many miles on the vehicle?

Squeaking noise turning right, turning left, or both?

What speed are you traveling when the squeaking happens? Around town, mid-range or highway?

Any recent repairs to the vehicle - front or rear?

IMO, more information is needed.

Thanks in advance . . . . . . .

Hey there...

Bought the SUV used.

Squeaks when turning both ways. Especially during U-turns or 90 degree angle turns. Checked CV boots; no leaks, no tears.

Low speeds, around town.

No recent repairs to the vehicle.

So it's ~6 years old, maybe 60-90,000 miles on it.

Does the squeaking noise sound like a belt is slipping or is it more like a metal-to-metal sound?

Have you had anyone look at the brakes?
