97 Eclipse GS aftermarket turbo. i have a knocking/banging noise coming from what seems to be the top of the engine. i just bought the car and dont know much, and dont have much money to fix it. i have been told by someoneit is possibly somthing to do with the timing belt. think a noise like this can come from that.. what are the other possibilties for such noise? thanks</P>

 

dont worry its not serious, thats common, my bro had a gs-t had same sound drives fine , still will run good, i just bought a tsi does have a simmilar sound but my new exhaust deads out that sound loll, my cuzin has a gsx and has the same knockin sound , if u definetly kno ur losing power or engine doesnt rev rite etc get it checked out but if its just that knockin sound , dont worry bought it.(unless its driving u mad)
