But in the US etc. it's called an Outlander Sport, hence why it's thrown in here. Just have to be vigilant when reading to determine whether someone's talking about an Outlander or an ASX/Sport.

That's why it's useful to look at the user's location. Yeah it doesn't simplify things as everyone using ltr/100km would, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow on these US-centric sites.
I have been using this site for a rough US-mpg to ltr/100km conversion, to see who's in the same ball-park.

I always fill my tank up when it hits 1/4 tank. My last tank got me 380miles and it filled it at 11.8 gallons. So I get around 32mpg which is pretty damn good! Lol

Quick update from my trip to Florida. Vehicle loaded, 2 adults and 2 teens plus lots of luggages. AC on 99% of the trip. 10 fill ups, 5000km and 8.6 L/KM avg. so far so good!

I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander GT. I get about 14 to 16 miles per gallon in the city and about 27 28 on the highway.I do not have a lead foot but my commute to work is down the road that's 45 to 55 and I never really go on the highway so my average miles per gallon usually is about 15 to 16 if I'm lucky. However, I am not complaining because I love this car and I can do so much I just wish it got better mileage but it's still worth it. I am using premium fuel with a K&N air filter.

Just got back from a road-trip holiday around much of Queensland (west to Longreach, north to Townsville), totaling 4,794.5km (2,979.2miles), so have quite a bit of data.
'12 ZH XLS Outlander, 2.4L 4cyl, CVT. Just clocked over 70k km. Mostly "highway" (if you could call it that) driving in 2WD, little bit in AWD, very small bit in locked 4WD. Speed between about 80km/hr and 120 (usually top 100-105) depending on "grey nomads". AC always on, bi-xenon headlights on 3/4 of the time. Boot loaded up with luggage, two adults and a 4yo.
Only ever used standard 91RON (87AKI).

On raw totals (from petrol receipts), 4794km off 435.7litres = 9.09litres per 100km (25.88 mpUSg*)

Best leg got 347.2km from 29.05litres = 8.37litres per 100km (28.1 mpUSg)

Worst leg (strong headwind) got 420km from 45litres = 10.71litres per 100km (21.96 mpUSg)

So not too shabby.

(*miles per US gallon, as opposed to imperial)

Thanks, that's detailed

Once again it is a proof that Outlander's gas appetite is good for long trips, not for everyday commute.

My mileage drops from everyday 11.5 L per 100 km to 8.9 just after 150 km of highway driving, and that's for V6

On a 300km round trip I got 6.9l/100km in my 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander AWD 5 speed manual. This was with 4 passengers aboard with luggage filled to the roofline in the boot! It seems that the manuals get better than the autos and the manual versions seem to feel quite a bit more powerful!!

I've recently taken my wife's outlander as my daily driver. She'd drive about 45min to work, which 2/3 of that was on highway. She was getting about 24mpg. I drive 14 miles round trip, nearly all city driving. Here is what I track via Fuelly...I use cruise control religiously.

Came back from 5,000+ km (3,000+ mi) vacation to Florida.

Averaged 9.3 l/100 km (25.3 mpg).
