yes this is a good option. how safe is it though.

I would imagine as safe as any camber adjusters. I can't speak for my other past vehicles since I never read up that much on them, but Ford Rangers come from the factory with certain bolts that will not allow adjustments. When you go in for your first alignment, you gotta pony up for these:
