Default Window Locks

How does your window lock button work? In my outie, when you lock the windows, no switch, including the drivers switches work, in other words, if you lock the windows, the windows can not go down at all. In all other cars I have driven, when you lock the windows, the driver can still open any of the windows. Is this normal, is your outie the same?

Hi from México, I have 2007 XLS model, and with window lock switch on, I only can operate the window of the conductor (up-down), the other three windows are totally cancelled its operation for my as for the passenger. Perhaps it is a configurable option via ETACS with the dealer. Tomorrow I must go to the dealer and I will ask on this. . .

My 08 ES works like jsrd described. When locked, the drivers side window can be lowered/raised, but the other 3 windows can not be operated.
