Check this video it is Nissan but the housing similar for the Mitsubishi

Mitsu is easier to replace but the filter case or should be white and the motor is on the bottom

you really need to replace your cabin filter because your car is almost 2 year old.

if not cabin filter should be on the firewall on the passenger side.

goodluck again

Beat that would be great to see what your filter compartment looks like.
I don't know but I did not see anyplace that looked like it would hold a filter in my dash or on my firewall.

This is a 2007 Mitsubishi Raider LS
V6 2 door extended cab.

I am also in Texas but I don't think that makes any difference.

I will try.

I am just too lazy to take out the glove compartment if there's nothing wrong with it and it's freezen outside.

or better call Mitsubishi dealer they will tell you over the phone where it is.

a cabin filter would be a notable cause of your smell if the vehicle was so equiped, but its not.

i came across this in a mitsu tech newsletter and it may be of some assistance to you. being that you are in texas
i would assume you use that a/c alot and create quite a bit of condensation.

Thanks for that info. I will have to try and find that seal and see if it is the problem. I have checked the floor carpets for any water or dampness. Nothing that I can feel, but that does not mean there is no moisture there.

Thanks
