Default Bad Smell

I got in my car today and the mat where the pedals are the carpet was WET. I don't think it was rain because it smells HORRIBLE! Anyone have any idea to what this could be?

Why not rain? The carpet is most likely not clean itself, could be a combo of water and other nastiness that has been tracked in. Or, depending on the consistency, of the liquid it could be brake or clutch fluid. Can you tell where it may have come from?

Not a clue. One of my friends said that since my heater core was bad,it could be antifreeze.

It has something to do with the A/C/Heater. Do a little searching, its a common problem.

My friend has also told me that my heater core has either broken or gone bad. Would that have anything to do with it?
