What in the heck is going on with my turn signals?

What in the heck is going on with my turn signals?
When I turn the left signal on it makes the right signal come on. Some times the windshield wipers will also come on when I try to turn the turn signal on. Does this sound like a multi function switch needs to be replaced? Please help b/c it just keeps getting worse.
