Default 2007 mitsubishi outlander smart key

Hello I just bought this 2007 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SMART KEY and it came with two smart keys one works and the other lights up but doesnt open or close the doors or the engine. So my question i s do you think this FOB smart key be programed because its $85 here to have it program and another question has any one found a cheaper way to program this FOB $85 is a rip off. thanks

Sorry to hear your problem. I had to pay $180 to get a dodge key made once But that's silly for just programming which most likely takes 10 minutes to do.

I would think only the dealer could do it, thus the higher price.

i have the same problem. the car dealership that sold me mine gave me 2 keys. the same day we found out one didn't work and informed them. they said they would not program it because they say it is not often you get 2 keys. they said they would program it for half the price. $90 instead of $180. Word of advice, don't buy from Contemporary Mitsubishi in Tuscaloosa.

Any idea how to programme Outlander 2007 Smart Keys ?
instructions for 2006 Outlander key programming is available on www.programyourremote.com but same instructions are not working for 2007.
