Its a 1999 Mercedes ML320. Has 180,500 miles! lol. I feel bad for my mom. She told me she was going to buy a new car when her car breaks down. So I was like HMMM. 
But cant wait until June to see what happens! (Hopefully to be a Mitsubishi Owner!)

P.S. I think that you might already know this but I was reading your quote. That thing is called the Blow off valve. Its what lets the turbo let out all its air that is stored in it when you are shifting, then it sucks in air all over again and redoes the process. Hope this helps!
