Default Eclipse newbie

Hello, This is all new to me, before this year, I have been a rear wheel drive american V-8 cromagno man. Then I became involved in Fwd 4 cyl asphalt circle track racing. What a blast. I had limited success with a honda prelude last year with a feature win and placed 3rd overall. I came across a pair of 2.0 eclipse's one is a used up race car with a good engine the other is street car with a cyl sucking antifreeze. of all the websites I have looked at this seemed like the one I could get the most help from. I am sure i will have several questions over the next few months ahead while i try to make one from the 2. the used up car i think is a 90 and the street car is a 92. Any help would be greatlly apprciated. Oh and by the way this is a COMPLETELY STOCK class with no turbos or AWD. The 90 race car came to me with a 4 speed manual trans. this I think was a from something other than a 2.0 because I recall that the flywheel from the 4 speed had to be modified to fit on the 2.0 or the crank had to be modified to fit the flywheel. I start disassembly next week and will update. so i guess my first Question would be, Is there a mitsubishi 4 speed made that shares the belhousing pattern as the 2.0

welcome to the forum, good luck with your project. Ive never heard of a mitsu 4-speed manual, they are usually 5-speed or auto.
