Default Foggy Headlight

I have a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse. After I had it for about a year, I noticed that drivers side headlight was foggy. Thinking that moisture had gotten inside, I had it removed only to find that there was no water or moisture presentI've tried everything to get rid of the "fogginess" with no luck. I refuse to go to the dealership and pay 200+ for one headlight and I don't want to buy a headlight on-line because I want to stick with factory parts. Also, I've noticed alot of other Eclipse have this same problem. It really takes away from the overall appearance of the car.Can someone please tell me what the problem is or at least tell me I'm not alone.

I had the same problem on my driver's side headlight. Just when I was about to submit and by a new set of headlights, someone showed me the light. They told me about some rubbing compound, but I was skeptical b/c I'm used some before and it didn't make that much of a difference. To prove me wrong, he grabbed his bottle and put a little bit on a paper towel. With almost no effort, he started rubbing the headlight and in a few seconds the headlight was like new. I haven't bought any yet, but I'm definitely going to get some. He said he got it from Lowe's. It was the 3M Rubbing Compound. Make sure you get the right one though cuz they have a few different types. Hope this helps you like it did me.
