Default Hello All... I'm having a little Alternator problem

Hello everyone. hope all is well... I'm new here and thought I would see if someone here can guide me thru replacing my alternator in my 98 diamante.

Man, is it tight where the serpentine belt is. Does anyone know the tricks of the trade on removing and installing an alternator for this car? I guess my first thing to know is that I need a serpentine belt diagram, and then maybe a list of steps .

any help will be greatly appreciated

two or three bolts.
Slack the tensioner, slip the belt, undo mount bolt under altenator. Remove.

Wished it was that simple. I undone the bolt under the tensioner and it dont move. Now let me make sure what bolt that you are talking about. Is it the one that point up vertical and you have to be under the car? It seem like there would be a picture somewhere on the web but i had no luck finding it.

Update, 11:54am
Well I finished the job... Well, all that I can say if I ever do it again it will be much easier. However, this was far more difficult than it should have been. I never figured out how to adjust the tensioner but I would like to know exactly how in case I have to replace anything else. I would love to see a picture showing where the magic bolt is that loosen the tensioner if anyone has it. Thanks

your tensionr will be one of 2 designs, a bolt on the same axis as pulley, that slides in a bracket (unlikely with a serpentine)

or a screw in type. Usually a 12mm bolt head, it will ae pushing against eithr the alternator housing/block, OR against an idler pulley somewhere else around the belt...
