hey all. im new here and would like to find out as much as i can about the evo 8. Im looking to do a swap with the heads on my 4g64. then plan on running the turbo that goes with it as well.. so any and all input will be great.
what kind of car? 3rd gen eclipse or 2g spyder n/t? either way to turbo a that car you will have to get the following as an absolute M I N I M U M:
manifold
turbo
FMIC
ic piping
bov
injectors
fuel pump
tuning device (safcII or engine management)
to go any higher than 12-14psi you'll have to build the bottom end.
if you get a boost controller you'll need to also get
clutch
wideband
boost gauge
tune it.
that's basically it. all in all to safely turbo a non turbo'd car and get some decent power out of it... you're looking at between 3 and 4k.

I plan on using the head off a evo 8. As well as the manifold turbo fmic and intake manifold. As far as tuning goes that wont be to big aof a problem. Just have to figure out what would be easier to use greddy e manage or safc II. Any ideas?
