Hi all!
My names AJ and I just purchased a 2004 Outlander
. I live the the Northwestern Suburbs of Chicago and am super excited to see how she handles Chicago winters.
I do have a question regarding the 4wd. Since the weather is clear and I know that there is no on/off switch for the 4wd, how can I be sure that it works? My main concern is being fully-prepared for my work commute.
Thanks for reading!
P.S. I will post some pictures later today.

If it's like mine it will automatically come on if the tires start to slip. Or you push the botton your self and the 4 WD light comes on. You could go test it out by finding a dirt road to climb up? Just don't get stuck.
