A friendrecently purchased a '90 Montero, (V6 3.0). got it for about nothing, blown motor. Asked if I would help him get it going. I have learned that help him meant can you do it all by yourself. Anyway, drove it into the garage and purchased a reman'd motor and swapped all of the applicable stuff. Got everything in and now, no fire. Check'd the coil pack, no fire, got a new one. Still no fire. Bought a new distributor, still no fire. heard about the ECU, opened it and no apparent damage. No blown capacitors and no burned smell. I'm screwed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone out there?
