I have a Pinin Warrior 2.0 GDI 2005 plate and need help desperately. I'm hoping one of you guys can point me in the right direction.

At the moment, it's a brick. I drove it a few yards away from my garage to give access and then drove it back. Unfortunately, it has failed to start ever since. It turns over but doesn’t fire. When I switch the ignition on all the lights come on except the engine management light. My ODB2 device fails to connect, probably unsurprisingly.

I have AA home start, so called them. The guy that came tested a lot of the fuses and wiring but after an hour, he told me it's not working, which didn't come as much of a surprise. He suggested I try changing the MR583210 FRONT ECU Control unit. Bought a second hand one from EBay, which made no difference. Have also bought and fitted a PININ 2.0 GDI ENGINE CONTROL ECU MR507766 but again made no difference.

Have called two mobile auto electricians but neither is interested in the work.

Any guidance you can give me would be most gratefully received. Not sure if I need to mention this but I am in UK. Also, I need to say that I'm not expert in this area, so words of one syllable would be good.
