Default Someone please help

ok so i have a 2008 Outlander that keeps turning its four drive on and i wont be able to change it until i switch the engine off, and as soon as i start to drive in two wheel drive it changes again to four wheel, this only started to happen after i sent it to the mechanic to change the tires, and the tires were place on the rear wheels but there abit larger than fronts could that cause it??? please help

mxmikie, so you are saying that as the circumference of the tires on the front and rear are different, the front and rear axles for a specific distance turn at different speeds and the vehicle senses this as slippage and goes into 4WD????.....(and I do not even own a 4WD).
