Thanks in advance for the info....
Hello all!
My name is Chris and I'm the latest member here on mitsubishi forum.
Quick word about myself and my car: I am a business student in Arnold, MO. I drive a red '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs-T. This is pretty much where your respect for me will end, as my car is an automatic! Thats right, I"ve seen the look you have on your face a million times over. Some may not have known they existed, but they do. My exuse is that at the time of purchase, I did not know yet how to drive a manual (lame I know). However, I assure all of you I have taken ample time to learn to do so, and have driven cross-country in an manual Dodge Neon, so please, if you could, not too much joking about it, haha.
In any case, thanks to various friends who have great interest in cars, I have tried my best to become as mechanically inclined as possible. My intentions in signing up for this site is for various quetions I may have for my specific brand and model of car. My inquiries may range the gambit from general mechanical questions, to performance modifications that I can do myself.
So, I want to thank everyone here in advance for helping me in the future, and sharing with me your knowledge of the greatest cars in the world, Mitsubishi.

Good attitude. You will feel right at home.
Welcome!
The most important thing to remember is, if your thinking it now... more than likely it has been asked before. So use our search function along with google. If you cant find your answer there then under the second generation eclipse tab you will see a bunch of things that are 'stickied' to the top... those have important information that may hold answers.
Also, bookmark www.vfaq.com that has loooaads of previously asked questions and lots of random information.
The best piece of advice i can give you is, if your looking to make your car faster... the first step should be to aquire a GSX. Honestly, once you have driven that, you will never want to drive another FWD car ever again. Oh, and a 5 spd : )
Peace!
