Thinking of buying an Outlander
Hi everyone,
we've had an 04 Toyota Rav 4 for 2 1/2 years and are looking to upgrade it. We had a look at an 07 Outlander Elegance and was very impressed with it! I have now driven it and it feels very solid but not as responsive or quick as the Rav! Maybe due to it being heavier? Or was it cos it was a test drive and I was on my best behaviour?
I have read that servicing and repairs are expensive with Mitsubishi.
Also I have spoken to people with Xtrails and Ravs that have had turbo problems at 50k miles - is this also the deal with Outlanders?
We are looking for a dependable motor - as hassle free as possible - if that is possible!
Does anyone have any comments to make that might help me?

Hey Sinbad !
We bought a 2010 Outlander XLS with the V6. Same body, but new Evo like nose. I know the 4 cylinder is a non-turbo engine so no worries about a turbo rebuit at 50k miles.
I saw a comparison between The 2010 Rav4 V6 - Outlander V6- Suzuki Grand Vitara V6.
overall the Outlander won. Yes there is a lot of hard plastic in the car. But the waranty is a big plus if you like to keep your cars for a long time. Well good luck on your search.
