Default timing belt

[sm=smiley6.gif]Does anyone have a configuration diagram of the timing belt on a 94 Galant 2.4 SOHC? I have been asked to replace one and being an old ford man I don't know a heck of a lot about the Mitsubishi engines. The other question I have is if this is an interference engine, canI expect to find valves bent? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance, Dan

yea, i think the only one of these engines that are non-interfeirence engines is the 1.8 in the eclipse.. if the belt broke while driving, valves are more that likely bent.. the car dont have a diagram of the belts under the hood?? they normally do.. i havent looked on mine i dont know if they do, but most cars have them

Thanks for the info guys, now I have an idea of what to expect. I'll put the belt on first and see what happens. My friend bought it this way soI don't know if the eng was running or not when it went. This is where we find out if it was a good price or if they got screwed.
