Default Transmission

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT V6. The problem I am having is that when the car is first started and shifted to reverse (automatic) the shift is smooth and normal. Once the transmission has had time to warm up and build up pressure the shift into reverse causes a hard jolt to the car. I have had many people tell me the transmission needs a complete flushing. Can anyone give me some advise? THANX, Billarchdale

First of all on start up the oil pressure will be there. The only difference between cold and working temperature is the viscosity of the fluid. Worn reverse gear pack perhaps? If it's not had a flush in yonks, it might be a good idea. Mileage?
