I do have a GS 1997, I already put headers and cold air intake, what's a way to increase some power keeping it under $1,000?. I thought about cutting 2-3 mm from the head to gain some compression but I don't know how many mm, would be safe. Also thought about putting nitro but if I lower the head I think the compression may blow the head. Any comment is welcome, thanks in advanced.

 

Your best bet is to sell the car and pick up a gst or gsx.

Not too much you can do. Have you thought about tweaking the computer engine settings ? Also even most GS's can still spin the front tires so maybe look into getting that initial power into the pavement with specific tires (and sizes). I plan to finish up the new lambo door mod tonight with my neighbor after installing a custom front end the other week on my Spyder. He wants me to put an entire custom engine in it next. Hmmmmm ...

 

There isn't a lot you can do w/ the 420a engine besides go turbo.
