Crankwalk has nothing to do with psi. It has to do with too much play with the crank from worn or bad bearings. Crankwalk theory

What you have to worry about is whether your stock injectors can supply enough fuel to keep from going lean, hot air, and...well, mainly going lean. 2g cars are supposedly set at 10-15psi at stock settings. If you want to raise psi, start slow and go to 10, 11, 12, and so on. Don't just set it at 15psi. One other thing, make sure that the motor is "healthy". Don't just crank it up just because you want to or you will break something. Do a complete tune up, check for leaks (both air and liquid), and don't go nuts. In the long run, you will still have a working car if you don't just crank it up, besides, you mentioned this car being important since it's your only car. Also, your stock BOV will most likely leak after 12psi, so I'll suggest staying at 12psi.

Click underlined words for hyperlinked sites and note the site, 1000 AAQ (already asked questions). The VFAQ is another good resource for DSM related questions too.

Hope that helps.
